What To Expect At E3 2012

Written by: Ryan Brunty || 2012-06-01

If you’re looking for all of your 2012 E3 news in one place, fear not, the Insert Coin(s) crew will be infiltrating the floor to bring you UP TO THE MINUTE video game news LIVE from the Los Angeles Convention Center! To get you pumped for next week, we’ve concocted a small write up regarding what we’re most excited about and what you can expect to see right here on the Insert Coin(s) blog as we bring a little bit of LV into LA. Party time!

Nintendo – I sit here, not quite believing what I’m about to type, but I’m more excited for Nintendo’s press conference and game offerings than any other company at the show. Before you chase me down with fire and pitchforks, let me explain. They are the only console maker with an announced console (WiiU) and the games that are stipulated to be making an appearance are enough to make anyone jump with glee. I’m hoping to get a hands on demo with Pikmin for the new console and hoping to maybe hear some news about a new Mario/Mario Kart and my personal favorite, Animal Crossing. Stay tuned!

Microsoft – Last week, Game Informer unveiled a cover toting a brand new Gears of War and we already know that Halo 4 is being developed so who knows, maybe some hands on with these? I’m sure we’ll be hearing about how Kinect is going to change everything in the near future (sigh) and more premium services upon the already premium service, Xbox Live, will more than likely be announced. Le sigh.

Sony – Being the only company sticking to an online-only stream has me a bit worried about announcements, but maybe we’ll get a new Playstation announcement? Doubtful.

Ubisoft and Ea have press conferences announced for Monday as well and we can expect to hear news about sports games and Assassin’s Creed 4 from these two companies.

Stay tuned for live blogs, videos and more debauchery than you can handle!
