Dead Space has always held a special place in my gamer heart for the sole reason of being one of the only games to genuinely frighten me (Castelvania 64 and Alan Wake being the only others.) So when I found out there was going to be a trilogy cap on this saga, I was more than stoked to get behind Isaac Clarke once again to battle horror in deep space. However, this trailer showcases another side to the series that seems to depart from the namesake terror and go more in the direction of Capcom’s Lost Planet with huge boss battles and more of an action/adventure vibe. I’m sure the game will still play extremely well and the graphics look to be sharp, but I can’t help but feel a little let down in this new direction.
